I have been living in Italy in rural Tuscany for 11 years. In that time, life has been amazing. I have picked up anecdotes and tricks for everyday life and survival in this fabulous country. It’s taken ups and downs, frustrations, highs, lows and a lot of patience to get get this far, so I’m sharing my experiences and tips with you, you’ll certainly need them!
Life here is full on, fast paced, happy and sad. Every day is packed full and I’ve never been so busy in my life. I want to share my experiences with you. I do venture out of the rural Tuscan countryside to Florence, Pisa, Rome and others. I also manage to cross the borders into other countries so I’ll be sharing information about my travels too!
Don’t expect romantic ramblings though, this is real life, not the slow paced idyll that other blogs and writers would have you believe.

Living in la bella Toscana (beautiful Tuscany) I consider myself extremely lucky. There is so much culture here, it almost hurts.
One thing I have learned in all my years living here in Italy is that the Italians have a cure for everything.
I’ve just got back from the annual chocolate festival in our local town. Handmade chocolate goodies, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, with nuts, with fruit, lollipops, everything a true choc fan could ever dream of.
I woke up this morning full of joy and peace.
I started thinking, you know the way you do when you have time on your own.
While I feel compelled to start this blog, this adventure into who knows what or where
